Crimson Seedless grape vine details Plant form: One dormant bare-root grape vine USDA hardiness zones: 6–10 Pollination: Self-fruitful; a second grape variety is not required for fruit set Harvest: Generally early to late fall; timing and red color development vary by climate Pruning: Train on a sturdy support and prune annually during dormancy; cane or spur systems may be used according to the training plan Fruit: Seedless red berries with firm, crisp, sweet-tart flesh Planting and care Choose a full-sun site with at least seven to eight hours of direct light and well-drained soil. Install the trellis or wire system at planting. Water deeply after planting and during establishment without leaving the root zone waterlogged. Maintain an open trained canopy and use annual dormant pruning to renew fruiting wood and improve light and air movement. Harvest and shipping notes Taste fruit from several clusters before harvest because grapes do not continue to ripen after picking. A dormant bare-root vine may arrive leafless; this is normal. Harvest timing, color, and crop size depend on local conditions, vine age, pruning, and care.
