Crimson clover is an annual summer clover known for its rapid, robust growth and ability to fix approximately 50-60 lbs of nitrogen per acre by mid-November. It is a winter annual and will commonly overwinter except in the Upper Midwest. Being a legume, crimson clover provides good feed qualities, including high protein content and yield.
