What does red sound like when it moves? Not the flat red of a stop sign or a painted wall — the other red. The one that lives inside garnets, the one that shifts between burgundy and wine and something almost black depending on how the light catches it. That red has a voice. It hums. Garnet has been worn for thousands of years, long before anyone called it a gemstone. Ancient Egyptian artisans set it into gold for pharaohs. Medieval travelers carried it as a talisman against darkness. The Victorians threaded cascades of it into elaborate mourning jewelry, and somewhere along the way they discovered what everyone before them already knew — that garnet isn't really about red at all. It's about depth. Each stone holds light differently, releasing it slowly, like a word you have to lean in to hear. The cascade form honors that quality, letting multiple stones catch and release at their own rhythm as they move. These earrings are built on 14k gold-filled wire and findings, giving them genuine warmth without the weight of solid gold. The garnet stones graduate downward in a fluid, organic arrangement, and at just 1.5 inches from the top of the ear wire to the lowest stone, they sit close and elegant — the kind of piece that draws someone in rather than announcing itself across a room. Each earring weighs 2 grams, light enough to forget you're wearing them until someone asks. The ear wires are hypoallergenic. Handcrafted in Atlanta, Georgia by Agape Gems, a woman-owned studio.
