Kit Contents: Each Flawn Seed Kit contains: Creeping Thyme Seeds Soil Builders Compost Booster What To Expect: With regular watering, germination occurs in 2-3 weeks, with small plants initially. After the first season, your "Flawn" will produce abundant pink flowers (2-4" tall) from June to September, offering a vital nectar source for pollinators. Consistent watering is crucial during seeding and dry spells for best results. How to Seed Your Lawn: Prepare: Mow your lawn very short (0.5-1") and lightly rake to expose soil. Spread: Shake the jar and wave your arm to cover a six-foot path as you walk. Water: Lightly water the seeded area, avoiding runoff. Maintaining a Flawn: Mow at 2.5-3" for the first 1-2 years. Established flawn can be maintained to your preference – higher/less often for more flowers, or shorter/more often for a traditional look. Do not use pesticide weed or insect killers. Hand weed if desired. For new lawns or bare areas, consider blending with fine fescue seed (2-4 lbs/1,000 sq. ft.). Creeping thyme is very slow to germinate. It takes 1-3 years before you know if the seeding is successful. It follows the native wildflower schedule of sleep in year one, creep in year two, and leap in year three.
