Creativity and Problem Solving

Ambient Rhythmic Entrainment for Whole Brain Solution-Seeking and Inspiration Creativity and Problem Solving facilitates bilateral synchronization of the brain to encourage your creative and logical capacities to work together to solve problems and make creative leaps. It promotes a state where you are able to access ideas and intuitive insights, and to see previously unconscious connections. Ideal for: Encouraging new strategies while problem-solving Stimulating creativity while writing, making art, or brainstorming Sparking creative inspiration and "out of the box" thinking How the Brain Shift Series Works The Strong Institute's sound therapies are based on extensive testing of current brainwave entrainment principles combined with traditional healing rhythms and musical instruments. Jeff Strong's methods have been clinically demonstrated to be effective in the treatment of ADD/ADHD, autism, depression, chronic anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, and other disorders. The Brain Shift series makes available the Institute's most popular acoustic therapy modalities to the general public. How to Use Brain Shift programs work best when played in an open-air setting rather than on headphones: on your home or office stereo, desktop or laptop computer, boom box, CD clock radio, iPod speaker dock, or on a portable music player with a built-in loudspeaker. If you use headphones, exercise special care: they block ambient sound and may provide more stimulation than you want! 1. Start the audio program. Once it begins, turn the volume all the way off. 2. Then slowly increase the volume until you can barely hear it. 3. Sit back, and ponder a problem you are trying to solve. Track 1: Problem Solve Enhances non-lateral conceptual links, "thinking outside the box," and breaking out of habitual problem-solving patterns. This track contains rhythmic structures with a repetitive drive to promote brain hemisphere synchronization. Track 2: Create This track uses a single Udu clay-pot drum blended with a pleasant ambient instrumental soundtrack to synchronize your brain within the mid- to upper-theta range, and to stimulate general neurological activity. The combination results in an active, solution-seeking mind state. Play softly while working on a creative project or when in need of creative inspiration. Note: This title is also available as part of Jeff Strong's complete 8-CD Brain Shift Collection.
