Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so filtered light is best, especially in hot climates. Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let excess water drain away to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in winter when growth slows. Soil: Use a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. Good drainage is essential to prevent waterlogged roots. Temperature: Keep in average room temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Protect from drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations. Humidity: Normal indoor humidity levels are generally fine. Avoid excessively dry air; misting occasionally can help if the air is very dry. Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing in winter. Pruning: Trim leggy growth to maintain a compact shape. Remove any dead or yellowing leaves promptly. Propagation: Easily propagated from stem cuttings. Allow cuttings to callous over for a day or two before planting in a well-draining soil mix. Pests: Monitor for common succulent pests such as mealybugs or spider mites. Treat infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
