cowboy tallow

Once upon a time, out here in the wild west (and other lands), soap was made from animal fat and ashes. A lot has changed with soap ingredients, but we try to stay within the organic realm of simplicity. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it.) OK, no ashes, but yes, basic organic oils and simple ingredients, no fluff, no fillers and aside from Sodium Hydroxide (which disappears like magic in the curing of soap), no weird chemicals or tricky ingredients. And now, here we are, back to Tallow. This is a small run, hyper local soap. I can practically see the farm where the happy cows frolic from the window before me. We make this dense and rich soap in small batches due to the availability of the fresh beef tallow from sustainable Left Coast GrassFed.  We go the extra mile to render the tallow so that this soap will leave you feeling clean & smelling fresh, not like... well. A cow. That, and the wise blend of essential oils that is added to our formula sweetens things up. Tallow is oft used for delivering moisture to the skin. Brimming with vitamins A, D, E, K, plus its high content of saturated fats, this lathery bar sure does provide a hearty cleansing experience. This batch has a healthy handful of organic Peppermint Leaves for the added touch of exfoliating grit. Enjoy the tradition of the Wild West. Yee Haw!    Ingredients: Blessed Water, Left Coast Beef Tallow, organic Coconut Oil, organic Olive Oil,  kosher certified food grade Sodium Hydroxide, pure steam distilled Essential Oils & organic Peppermint. We proudly uphold the integrity of each carefully handcrafted product. Nonetheless, your product's appearance may differ slightly due to variations between small batches. This product is free of synthetic dyes, sulfates, phthalates, parabens and petroleum-based ingredients. Handmade by Gaia Essentials Pescadero, CA USA
