Solitary Bee House

Celebrate pollinators and encourage them to frequent your garden by adding this Coveside Solitary Bee House to it. Several bee species, such as the blue orchard bee and the horn-faced bee, are quite docile and prefer to live alone, rather than in colonies. These gentle bees are fantastic fruit tree pollinators, and can be a welcome visitor to many gardens. They typically lay eggs within tree stumps, and this structure wonderfully mimics that design. Lines of predrilled holes occupy the front of the home, creating places for solitary bees to lay eggs. These eggs remain dormant throughout the colder fall and winter months, with the young emerging in spring to pollinate your garden plot once again. The pine body enhances the natural appeal, and a deeply sloping roof overhangs these entries, protecting them from rain. Its vibrant yellow tone will age to a lovely gray over time, for a lasting appeal, and a metal hanger on the back of the unit makes it easy to showcase the home against a wall or post. For a different look, use a branch hook through the metal loop to suspend the piece. Help increase populations of orchard and other bees by placing this Solitary Bee House in your yard.
