Chickadee House

Invite musical and acrobatic chickadees to your bird sanctuary by placing this Coveside Chickadee House in your yard. Chickadees stay active, hopping from tree to tree while foraging for insects, providing a splash of activity on your property. This beautiful dwelling is constructed of sustainably sourced, old eastern pine to instill unique and durable charm in your bird garden. The 1.125" diameter entryway allows easy access to these favorite backyard birds, letting them enter the unit while deterring larger predatory threats. A downward slanting roof gives ample coverage against rain and other outdoor elements, with slots situated at the sides of the top panel for proper ventilation. This quaint home's rough hewn interior assists fledglings in climbing out when it's time to exit the nest, and gaps at the corners of the base facilitate consistent drainage for a dry habitat. A single side panel lifts open for easy cleaning and maintenance tasks, and the natural pine will transform to a lovely gray hue with repeated exposure to the elements over time. The metallic loop hanger and predrilled hole on the back panel allow you to easily mount this house to a post or tree for a simple and rustic showcase in your yard. Bring lovely birdsong to your backyard while offering shelter to feathered friends with this fabulous Chickadee House. Made in the USA. Opening: 1.125" dia.
