Courage Ladder Worksheet

The courage ladder is a structured way to practice courage by setting realistic, step-by-step goals. The idea is that instead of facing a big fear all at once, clients can work up to it gradually by starting with smaller challenges. Simply knowing about courage isn’t enough — to truly build it, clients need to take consistent action. The Courage Ladder worksheet serves as a tool for breaking down anxiety-inducing situations into seven steps. It can be used to help overcome any fear or anxiety, whether it’s speaking in front of others, trying something new, or standing up for oneself. Using this worksheet may help kids and teens develop resilience and a sense of control over their fears. While completing the activity, remind them that it’s okay to move at their own pace — they can stay on one step until they feel ready for the next! This worksheet pairs well with our Courage Ladder handout. *This item is an instant digital download. A link to download your files will be emailed to you once payment is confirmed.
