Tarot Jersey Dress

Long-sleeve jersey maxi dress. The print features 15th-century Italian woodcut tarot cards showcasing early illustrations of The Emperor, The High Priestess, The Fool, Judgment, and Temperance. Originating in Florence between 1460 and 1500, this uncut sheet features rare survivals of early printed tarocchi (Tarot) trumps. In practice, tarot cards are intended to be read at the new moon for intentions, the full moon for clarity, and the waning moon for release and reflection. The tarot cards exhibit the theme of the collection, Triple Moon, which explores the connection between lunar cycles and the feminine body. For centuries, the moon has served as a symbol of feminine power, marking time through phases of change, release, and becoming.
