Cosmic Waves 18k and Fine Silver Granulation Ring - 7mm or 11mm wide

My Cosmic Waves 18k and Fine Silver Granulation Ring has a lyrical dance of gold and silver granules peppering the surface with a double swirl of silver thread bisecting the surface of the band in an undulating swirl. This is very similar to the ring I made during the segment of “A Craftsman’s Legacy” on PBS a few years ago but with 18k gold granules of varying sizes in addition to the silver. If you are not positive about your size, please email or text me and I will send you a sizer. These rings are wide at either 7mm or 11mm and it's important you have your correct size for this ring to fit properly. I ask that you size both your knuckle and where the ring will sit and then I can make a ring for you that feels right! Granulation is an ancient fusing process utilized for thousands of years by the Etruscans and Mycenaeans as well as other cultures around the globe. I create tiny granules with 18k and Fine Silver and sort them by size. Then I place these granules with a 000 paint brush and then carefully heat the piece using a mouth torch to the point of fusing. Each sphere is connected by a tangent of metal creating a sleek and beautiful surface. The ring is available in two finishes: 1)Brass Brush Finish - the ring is given a brass brush finish, the makes the color differences between the gold and silver subtle. 2) Oxidized - the ring is given a dark patina and the granules a high polish. The ring is then brushed with Renaissance Wax to hold the patina, which will change with wear. This option offers the highest contrast between the silver and gold.
