Corvette Proportioning Valve Bracket. J56: 1966

Bring authentic braking hardware to your 1966 Corvette with the Corvette Proportioning Valve Bracket (J56). This bracket is engineered to align with the original J56 mounting specifications, ensuring the proportioning valve sits exactly where it did from the factory and that fuel and brake line routing follow the proven factory path. What this bracket does for your Corvette The proportioning valve plays a critical role in fronttorear brake balance. By securely mounting the valve in its correct position, this bracket helps maintain consistent pedal feel, predictable stopping power, and prevents unwanted movement that can lead to line kinks or misrouting during engine vibrations or road use. Why it matters for a 1966 Corvette with J56 Restorations and periodcorrect builds rely on authentic hardware placement. The J56specific design preserves factory geometry, so your brake system operates with the same bias and reliability as the original configuration, while preserving the vehicle’s historical integrity. Key features Factoryaligned mounting to match the 1966 Corvette J56 specification, ensuring proper valve orientation and seamless line routing. Robust design built to withstand engine bay heat, vibration, and daily driving stresses without loosening. Simple installation designed to locate on the original mounting points with minimal modifications, preserving authenticity and easing restoration workflows. Maintains brake balance by securely stabilizing the proportioning valve, reducing line strain and potential misrouting over time. Ideal for restoration projects a reliable, periodfaithful solution for collectors and hobbyists aiming for authentic underhood presentation. Installation tips Before installation, inspect the mounting area for corrosion and clean the original points. Align the bracket with the factory mounting positions, secure it firmly, and route brake lines to avoid sharp bends or contact with other components. Once installed, verify clearances during full range of hood and engine movement to ensure there’s no interference with the valve or lines. Who this is for This bracket is a perfect fit for Corvette enthusiasts restoring a 1966 model with the J56 brake option, builders aiming for concoursgrade authenticity, and anyone who wants to ensure their proportioning valve remains correctly positioned for reliable braking performance. Compared to generic solutions Unlike generic replacements, this J56specific bracket preserves the original geometry and mounting footprint, ensuring accurate fitment, line routing, and brake bias. It’s the practical choice for authentic restorations where precise alignment matters as much as the component itself.
