Corvette Master Cylinder Cap Gasket.: 1967-1982

Corvette Master Cylinder Cap Gasket precision engineered for 1967–1982 Corvette models, this cap gasket creates a reliable seal between the reservoir cap and the master cylinder. It’s built to endure underhood heat and constant use, keeping your braking system clean, pressurized, and ready to perform. Why this gasket matters in your classic Corvette: Prevents brake fluid leaks and evaporation, so your brake lines stay full and responsive. Keeps dust, dirt, and moisture out of the reservoir, protecting the hydraulic fluid from contamination. Maintains consistent hydraulic pressure, contributing to a firm, predictable pedal feel. Designed to withstand the hightemperature environment around the master cylinder, reducing the risk of caprelated failures. What makes this gasket a smart choice for your restoration or everyday drive is its exact, factorystyle fit for the Corvette master cylinder cap interface from 1967 through 1982. The gasket material is selected to resist the solvents in brake fluid and hold up through temperature cycling, so you don’t have to worry about quick wear after a few heat cycles in the engine bay. Ideal for: Restoration projects on midyear C3 and late C2 era Corvettes that still rely on the traditional master cylinder cap design. Routine maintenance to replace a worn or cracked cap gasket and restore proper sealing. DIY enthusiasts looking for a straightforward, nofuss replacement that doesn’t require special tools. Installation and maintenance tips: Ensure the cap seating surface on the reservoir is clean and free of nicks or pitting before installing the new gasket. Press the cap evenly onto the gasket to form a uniform sealavoid twisting or overtightening, which can damage the gasket or seating surface. If you notice persistent leaks or a damp cap area after replacement, inspect the master cylinder cap and reservoir for additional wear and replace as needed. Upgrade your Corvette’s braking reliability with the right cap gasket for 1967–1982 models. A small component, done right, can help prevent larger brakesystem issues and keep your classic on the road with confidence.
