Corvette Accelerator Rod. 400HP 4 Speed & 435HP: 1967

Designed as a precise, factoryspec accelerator rod for 1967 Corvette models, this part is essential when dialing in the throttle system for engines delivering 400HP with a 4speed manual or the 435HP variant. Built to preserve the exact geometry of the original throttle linkage, it ensures crisp pedal response from the first press to the engine’s return, without unwanted slack or bind. Accurate, factorystyle geometry keeps the throttle linkage aligned exactly how it was designed to perform, preserving authentic drive feel. Durable, corrosionresistant construction and finish engineered for the engine bay’s heat and exposure, so it lasts as long as your classic Corvette does. Exactfit mounting points for seamless installation with the original throttle components and fourspeed transmissions common on 1967 model years. Consistent throttle response minimizes clutch and carburetor lag, helping you achieve smooth acceleration across the entire RPM range. This accelerator rod is tailored for restoration purists and performance enthusiasts alike. It’s the ideal choice when you’re rebuilding a 1967 Corvette with 400HP in a 4speed setup or upgrading to the 435HP configuration and you want to maintain authentic operation without compromising reliability. Use cases include full or partial restoration projects, concoursgrade rebuilds, or dailydriven classics where original feel matters. It’s also a practical choice for updating a vintage throttle linkage without sacrificing the precise geometry that makes a 1967 Corvette feel timelessly responsive. To get the best results, inspect the ends for wear, ensure the rod aligns cleanly with the throttle lever and pedal linkage, and apply light lubrication to pivot points during installation. With this accelerator rod, you preserve authentic steeringwheeltocarburetor feel and maintain the precise throttle progression that enthusiasts expect from a true 1967 Corvette experience.
