Check out our latest blog post that explains everything you need to know! Understanding our Fire Ring Dimensions When Ordering Square smokeless backyard fire pits are 12 or 18 inches deep/tall and have four panels. Looking for a lid? We make that as well. Check out our square lid. Each hole is 1 inch in size and 1 inch apart—all holes are around the top, with 1/2 along the bottom on 18-inch tall pits. This allows for secondary combustion and gets you to that smokeless burn. The top lip is 3 inches. Suppose you were to order a 30 x 12-inch. You will receive a 30-inch inside square smokeless fire pit with a fully welded 3-inch lip encircling it, resulting in a total diameter of 36 inches measured from the outside of the lip. No Painting, let it rust! We do not suggest painting corten steel as that is the beauty of it to get that beautiful golden rusty color. Read more about how to rust your fire pit quickly. The square smokeless backyard fire pit insert is crafted from heavy 16-gauge corten steel. This feature will protect your fire pit bricks or blocks from direct heat and flames and prolong the life of your blocks by keeping the heat away from them.
