Customizable Designs: Add a personal touch with a compass, monogram, or custom logo. Contact us before ordering to discuss your custom idea. You must approve the design before it is cut. Other than compasses — monograms and custom designs can take up to two weeks to process. Custom designs incur an extra fee for drawing and design time. Weather-resistant: It prevents leaves, debris, critters, and most water from accumulating in your fire pit when it is not in use. Important Notes: Natural Variation: Steel comes in various shades of grey, so your lid may appear slightly different from the photos. Depending on the steel batch, the color may range from darker to lighter tones, with unique natural patterns. Rusting: This lid is made of untreated, raw Corten steel, which will naturally rust when exposed to moisture or air. Rusting may start immediately upon outdoor use and creates a beautiful patina over time. Not Food-Safe: The steel is not food-grade and should not be used for cooking or as a snuffer. To prevent warping, always extinguish and cool the fire completely before reinstalling the lid. Weight Capacity: It has been tested to support around 200 lbs without flexing. While durable, standing or sitting on the lid is not recommended. Custom Orders: Once a custom design has been approved and cut, changes cannot be made, and refunds are not available for custom orders with approved errors. Care Instructions: Because of Corten Steel’s properties, we do not suggest painting the Corten fire pit lid. If you would like a painted lid, we suggest going with our carbon square steel lid.
