The Kernel Collection Corn Beer Extract Variety Pack

Celebrate America’s Brewing Heritage with Corn-Focused Classics In the early days of the homebrewing boom, corn was seen as an ingredient for cheap American macro beers, incompatible with the quality-over-quantity goals of homebrewing. Things began to change with a growing interest in historical beers and an appreciation for the technical challenges of lager brewing. Once homebrewers started brewing with corn, they realized it adds a drinkability and mild flavor that you just can’t get with anything else. The Kernel Collection showcases three corn-focused recipes with deep roots in America's brewing tradition. Get The Kernel Collection today and start brewing with corn the way it was meant to be brewed! Cream Ale Kick back with the easy-drinking, effortlessly refreshing Classic American Cream Ale. This timeless favorite features 32oz of premium, brewer’s-grade corn syrup, carefully sourced to give you authentic cream ale character in an extract-friendly package. Paired with high-quality malt extracts and subtle American hops, this beer delivers a crisp, clean, and smooth finish perfect for quenching your thirst after mowing the lawn—or anytime you're craving refreshment. Enjoy the balance of gentle malt sweetness, subtle corn character, and restrained hop bitterness in every sip. Cheers to brewing tradition made deliciously simple! Instructions Bluegrass Benchmark Kentucky Common Once a massively popular regional style centered around Louisville, this uniquely American beer style fell out of favor with the onset of Prohibition. Although a recognized beer style in modern times, its popularity is a mere shadow of its former self. Kentucky Common is brewed with the readily available ingredients of the time and place, and Bluegrass Benchmark is our reflection of this nearly forgotten piece of American beer history. Classic American base malt, corn, and a dash of both caramel and black malts coupled with distinct American and imported hops craft a beer worthy of its vintage forerunner. Instructions Pre-Prohibition Lager This classic American lager kit celebrates corn, one of brewing’s greatest adjuncts and a favorite ingredient of passionate homebrewers everywhere—including us! We’ve finally found the ultimate combination: authentic, high-quality corn syrup (no high-fructose additives!) at the style’s historical maximum of 30% paired with traditional pilsner malt extract and balanced by assertive, smooth bitterness from classic American hops, this Pre-Prohibition Lager kit delivers depth, crispness, and the unique corn character we’ve come to love.
