Our Cork Oak panels are hand cut from Cork Oak tree bark into 12″x24″, 12″x16″, or 12″x36″ slabs that are about 1/2″ thick. Cork Oak is a medium to large size attractive broadleaf evergreen shade tree that grows 70 to 100 feet tall. It has a short trunk, thick branches, and a rounded crown. Cork bark covers the trunk and major limbs of the tree. It is the same durable cork that is used for wine bottles. This bark is long lasting, unaffected by water or bugs and can be used for decoration, to create the illusion of tree trunks etc. Cork tree’s bark, once cut, will grow back completely in 7 years and can be harvested again and again.
