Core Tackle Scamper Rig

The Core Tackle Scamper Rig is built for anglers who want to fish a soft plastic jerkbait in a way bass have not seen over and over again. Designed to create a unique vibrating action on a fast retrieve, the Scamper Rig helps turn fluke-style baits and other soft jerkbaits into more aggressive fish-triggering presentations. Instead of simply gliding or darting like a traditional soft jerkbait setup, this rig is designed to add a tighter, more attention-grabbing action that can help pull fish from greater distances and create reaction bites in situations where standard rigging may not stand out enough. What makes the Core Tackle Scamper Rig different is the way it changes the behavior of the bait in the water. Core Tackle describes the Scamper Rig as giving soft plastic jerkbaits a vibrating action on a fast pull, while other product coverage notes that it allows anglers to fish a soft jerkbait deeper and faster than standard hooks. That makes it especially appealing for anglers covering water around shallow banks, fishing around docks, or targeting offshore schooling fish where speed, visibility, and drawing power matter. If you are looking for a way to make a fluke-style bait feel more aggressive, more versatile, and more effective at calling fish in, the Scamper Rig offers a fresh presentation option. The hardware and construction also support the premium feel of the rig. Product listings describe the Scamper Rig as being built on a razor-sharp Trokar TK137 hook with a flat line tie and a weighted shank featuring flanged segments to help hold the bait securely cast after cast. That matters for anglers who want a rig that not only changes the action of the bait, but also keeps plastics pinned in place and ready to fish without constant adjustment. Designed in collaboration with pro angler Matt Becker, the Core Tackle Scamper Rig is a smart option for bass anglers who want to fish soft jerkbaits with a different look, more vibration, and more fish-calling ability than a standard hook can provide.
