Core Halo Pro Wing

Ultra High Performance • ALUULA • Carbon Boom CORE Halo Pro Wing Light, rigid and exceptionally fast, with direct boom control and beautifully balanced freefly performance. The original CORE Halo Pro is an uncompromising high-performance wing built for riders who value speed, stiffness, low weight and immediate response. Its premium ALUULA airframe uses thinner leading-edge and strut diameters than conventional Dacron construction, while the flat CoreTex 2 canopy profile delivers efficient acceleration, lift and control across a broad usable range. A continuous full-carbon boom provides unrestricted hand positioning for freeride, freestyle and one-handed control. On a wave, the lightweight and balanced construction allows the Halo Pro to drift cleanly while the rider concentrates on the foil and the next turn. Freeride, Freestyle & Waves Intermediate to Advanced ALUULA Airframe CoreTex 2 Canopy Full-Carbon Boom Sizes 3.0–8.0m Why Choose the CORE Halo Pro? Choose the Halo Pro if you want a lightweight premium wing that feels exceptionally direct when pumping, accelerating, jumping or changing direction. Its stiff ALUULA airframe resists deformation under load, helping the canopy maintain an efficient shape and translate rider input into immediate forward drive. Compared with the Dacron-framed CORE XC and Halo, the Halo Pro is lighter, more rigid and more performance focused. Compared with the newer Halo Pro 2, the original Halo Pro uses a simpler structural layout and CoreTex 2 canopy while retaining the premium ALUULA construction, full-carbon boom, high-speed profile and excellent drift that made it successful. Windance recommendation: Choose the original Halo Pro for premium ALUULA performance at a more accessible closeout price. It is an excellent match for confident riders who prioritize speed, pumping response, freestyle lift and wave-riding drift over maximum forgiveness. How the Halo Pro Rides Direct Power Delivery The rigid ALUULA frame transfers pumping and sheeting input directly into the canopy. Power develops efficiently without the delayed or soft response found in more flexible airframes. Fast Freeride Speed A flat, low-drag profile helps the Halo Pro accelerate and maintain high riding speeds. Glass battens stabilize the trailing edge when the wing is heavily powered. Freestyle Lift and Hangtime The stiff frame and efficient profile produce strong lift for jumps and rotations. The continuous boom provides unlimited hand positioning for grabs, spins and wing passes. Balanced Wave Drift Low weight and balanced flight allow the wing to remain composed when held by the leading-edge handle, reducing the corrections needed while carving or riding down the line. High-Wind Control ALUULA maintains the airframe’s shape during gusts and high-load maneuvers. This supports predictable handling and control when riding fast or powered. Efficient Low-End The responsive airframe converts pumping input into forward drive efficiently. The special 8.0m Halo Pro LW adds a dedicated three-strut layout for significantly more light-wind power. Premium ALUULA Construction The Halo Pro’s leading edge and strut use ALUULA rather than conventional Dacron. ALUULA’s high stiffness-to-weight ratio allows CORE to reduce airframe diameter without sacrificing structural support. Less deformation: The frame retains its intended shape when pumping, jumping or riding heavily powered. Direct pumping response: Rider input is transferred efficiently into forward acceleration. Lower drag: Thinner airframe diameters complement the flat, high-speed canopy profile. Reduced weight: The wing feels agile during transitions and balances cleanly when flagged out. More lift: Structural rigidity supports efficient jumping and freestyle hangtime. Pro construction explained: CORE uses the “Pro” designation for products built with its highest-grade materials and focused on maximum performance. The Halo Pro is the premium ALUULA alternative to CORE’s standard Dacron wings. CoreTex 2 Canopy CORE’s low-stretch CoreTex 2 canopy helps the Halo Pro maintain its designed profile under peak loads. The material combines strong tear resistance with UV protection and long-term dimensional stability. Three fiberglass battens support the trailing edge, limiting unwanted movement and helping the canopy remain efficient as speed and wind pressure increase. Continuous Full-Carbon Boom Instead of separate handles, the original Halo Pro uses a continuous full-carbon boom. Connecting the entire grip area gives riders freedom to place and move their hands anywhere along the strut. Direct steering: The rigid boom provides immediate feedback from the wing. Unlimited hand placement: Adjust stance and power without searching for a separate handle. Easy hand changes: Useful during transitions, rotations and wing passes. One-handed riding: Find the balance point quickly for relaxed freeride sessions. Reduced attachment structure: Fewer individual grip connections help keep the system clean and lightweight. Halo Pro 8.0 Light-Wind Construction The 8.0m is not simply an enlarged version of the smaller Halo Pro sizes. CORE developed it as the dedicated Halo Pro LW with a three-strut frame and specialized light-wind shape. Additional Tip Struts Two additional struts extend profile support from the center toward the tips. This creates more usable pressure and helps the oversized canopy maintain its shape in very light wind. Compact Light-Wind Shape A relatively small wingspan and projected area keep the 8.0m more manageable and dynamic than its size suggests. Its span is only approximately 50cm greater than the 6.0m. Efficient Pumping The rigid ALUULA framework and supported profile help create power quickly, making waterstarts and pumping onto foil easier in marginal conditions. Speed Despite Its Size A lower-cut profile and concave trailing edge support clean airflow, allowing the Halo Pro LW to generate useful speed instead of feeling slow or excessively bulky. Beginner progression: Not the most economical or forgiving first wing. The XC or standard Halo is better suited to early progression. Freeride: Fast, efficient and direct, especially for riders who enjoy powered riding and a rigid boom. Wave riding and freefly: A major strength thanks to its low weight, balance and excellent flagged-out drift. Freestyle and jumping: Strong lift, hangtime and unrestricted boom hand placement support rotations, grabs and wing passes. Racing and high speed: The flat profile provides excellent speed and efficiency, although this is not a dedicated race wing. Light wind: Choose the specialized 8.0m Halo Pro LW for maximum low-end power and supported light-wind performance. This is the original Halo Pro with an ALUULA airframe, CoreTex 2 canopy and continuous full-carbon boom. It is not the newer Halo Pro 2. Is the original Halo Pro made from ALUULA? Yes. CORE confirms that its leading edge and strut frame use premium ALUULA material for high stiffness, reduced diameter and low weight. Does the Halo Pro use handles or a boom? It uses a continuous full-carbon boom. The boom provides direct control and unrestricted hand placement rather than separate fixed handles. What makes the 8.0m Halo Pro different? The 8.0m Halo Pro LW adds two tip struts to create a three-strut structure. It also uses a specialized compact light-wind shape for stronger low-end power and more manageable handling. Is the Halo Pro suitable for beginners? It is best for confident intermediate and advanced riders. Beginners will generally find CORE’s XC or standard Halo more forgiving and cost effective.
