With its brushed-brass finishing, an adjustable height feature, and a grey velvet shade, handmade in The Netherlands, the lamp is both an elegant and practical addition to any space. The lamp is 62.40 inches in height and 7.87 inches in diameter. HISTORIC PROVENANCE The Floor Lamp Corbin takes its design direction from The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Cloisters Library. The Cloisters, the Museum’s space devoted to the art and architecture of the Middle Ages, opened to the public in Upper Manhattan in 1938. The Cloisters Library houses around 15,000 volumes that explore medieval European decorative arts, sculpture, architecture, painting, stained glass, and illuminated manuscripts. Our American-style floor lamp echoes the detailing on lamps in the library, with an adjustable stand in a brushed-brass finish and a grey velvet shade handcrafted in the Netherlands.
