Corazon Del Sol 2024 Malbec

Tasting Notes The Corazón del Sol 2024 Malbec is a vibrant, terroir-driven red wine crafted from 100% Malbec grapes grown in the high-altitude Los Chacayes Geographic Indication (IG) within Argentina's famed Uco Valley. Sourced from estate vineyard blocks situated between 3,000 and 3,700 feet above sea level, the vines thrive in rocky alluvial soils under intense sunlight and cool Andean nights, yielding exceptional natural acidity and elegant, polished tannins. The winemaking team—founded by Dr. Madaiah Revana and guided by legendary winemaker Santiago Achaval—utilizes hand-harvested, meticulously sorted fruit that undergoes small-batch micro-fermentation before aging in used French oak barrels to preserve its youthful freshness and fruit-forward purity. On the nose, this deeply colored red bursts with an explosion of aromas featuring plum jam, dark cherry, blackberry, and fragrant violet flowers, gently accented by subtle notes of spice, vanilla, and mocha. The palate is rich yet remarkably balanced, delivering a smooth, easy-drinking profile packed with flavors of ripe dark fruits, blueberry, and dark chocolate, all supported by a velvety texture, bright acidity, and a clean, long finish. This versatile, full-bodied Malbec pairs effortlessly with hearty, robust dishes that mirror its bold character and velvety structure. It acts as a perfect companion to classic Argentine barbecue, making it an excellent match for grilled ribeye steak, lamb chops, burgers, and slow-cooked or braised short ribs. The wine’s vibrant acidity and integrated oak also allow it to cut beautifully through the richness of pasta with red meat sauces, roasted root vegetables, or a platter of bold, aged cheeses like Gouda and Manchego. For the best tasting experience, serve this bottle slightly cool at around 55°F (13°C) in a standard Bordeaux-style wine glass to fully unlock its aromatic profile. 750ml
