Fresh Mozzarella

Narragansett Creamery is one of Rhode Island's pioneering artisan cheese makers! This third generation Italian-American business is owned by the Federico family, who has continued to embrace the old world tradition of mozzarella cheese making while expanding their repertoire to include other fresh and aged cheeses. Narragansett Creamery's fresh mozzarella cheese is sweet and creamy with a hint of salt, making it the perfect cheese for pizza recipes, caprese, and other mozzarella cheese recipes. Each ball weighs in at 8oz. Pairing notes: light, crisp white wines like Pinot Grigio, Vermentino, and Sauvignon Blanc, sparkling wines like Cava and Champage, and light fruity red wines like Valpolicella and Pinot Noir Narragansett Creamery also produces our favorite burrata cheese. What's the difference between mozzarella and burrata? Fresh mozzarella cheese is solid all the way through, while burrata is a hollow ball of mozzarella filled with stringy cheese curds and cream.
