Beautiful Illinois Zip Hoodie - Berry

Beautiful Illinois! The state where I was born, the state where my grandparents settled in after they passed through Ellis Island.  Illinois is a long and narrow state. The northern border is just a straight line as is the north east border. The balance of the state waivers all around as it follows all of the rivers in the circumference of the state. In the straight lines, we put white canes. In the north east corner the straps of the white canes touch, with a bit of blue underneath them. This is a nod to Lake Michigan. The balance of the state lines are drawn by an aqua stream that runs around the entire state, indicating all of the rivers that make up the borders. At the far northern part of the print bursts an energetic bustling city - Chicago, of course! The city is so energetic that the Ferris wheel at Navy pier is almost bursting out of the state. The city landmarks are line drawn in black and light gray. Beneath this bustling metropolis is a swath of green, like grass. All across the width of the state on the grass is the word Illinois in a slight arch. The letters are bold collegiate letters in white. The contrast with the grass is beautiful. Beneath the letters are Illinois in tactile White grade one braille. But that’s not even close to being all of Illinois. Beneath the word Illinois sprouts another city, also line drawn in black and light gray. It's Springfield, of course, with its distinctive classical capital building complete with columns and dome. But we are not done yet.  At the bottom of the print, on the right, is a beautiful little red barn next to a silver silo. To the left of the barn are undulating fields with rows and rows of beautiful crops. There is a nice blue sky with just a few clouds floating by. A beautiful setting. We loved creating this Illinois  print with the Illinois Council of the Blind fundraising team and we hope you love it as much as we do! The print is on the back of the zip hoodie. We used our tactile ink on this, so remember to wash inside out. The ink becomes more tactile the more you wash the garment and the cotton fluffs up.  This is a classic full zip hoodie with two pockets on the front and a drawstring, full zip hood. The sleeves and the bottom are banded. These zip hoodies come in unisex sizing youth small through large, adult small through five XL, and tall large through three XL. It is made from cotton/poly heavyweight fleece. Please zip closed and wash inside out. It's okay to tumble dry in a hot dryer to make it nice and fluffy as long as it is zipped closed and inside out.
