Find Me

Mix Media - Original  36”x72” The piece is called “Find Me” Narrative: This piece comes after a months long creative block. The artist felt the need to get something on canvas and as the first bit of paint reached the canvas, the emotions started flowing. The mixed medium is layers on layers of letting it all out and flowing with the piece. In the background of the image you can see the words “Find Me” this is finding your inspiration, finding what drives you and working towards it. The face overtop of the text can represent the frustration of losing the will to create or to move forward. A lot of artists say they have a muse whether it is their significant other or a special place they paint. The woman in the bottom right represents this muse. While the artist doesn’t have one specific thing that is his muse, it represents the need to find something to drive him.
