Handwoven into a delicate lattice of copper wire and lined with a fine mesh, this generously sized tea strainer is perfect for brewing a single cup or a small pot for several to share. The copper wire will develop a rich patina as it ages, making this strainer an instant heirloom.  Founded in 1889, Torii Kanaami Kougei keeps alive the old Kyoto tradition of metal weaving crafts for tea service and cooking from their workshop in the center of the city.
