Copper Roller Elliptical Pelham

The Copper Roller Elliptical Pelham Bit combines a copper roller double-jointed mouthpiece with Pelham cheekpieces. The elliptical center link reduces palate pressure and helps distribute pressure more evenly over the tongue and bars. Copper rollers encourage salivation and make it harder for the horse to lean or grab the bit. The Pelham design offers multiple rein options, allowing riders to adjust control and leverage This bit is ideal for horses that benefit from a more mobile mouthpiece, a consistent, steady connection, and the added control of a leverage bit. Double Jointed Features : Even Pressure Distribution: The two joints with a center link reduce palate pressure and distributes contact more evenly across the tongue, bars, and corners of the mouth. Tongue Pressure Variation: The size and shape of the center link influence how much tongue pressure is applied, making it adaptable for horses with different mouth conformations. Greater Mobility: The design allows the mouthpiece to move more freely than a single joint, improving comfort and reducing resistance in many horses. Copper Roller Features : Salivation Stimulation : The copper roller encourages salivation, helping maintain a moister, more receptive mouth. Tongue Engagement : The movable roller invites the horse to interact with the bit using its tongue, which may improve attention and mouthing. Discourages Grabbing or Leaning : The roller’s movement can make it harder for the horse to lock against or lean on the bit, promoting more supple contact. Pelham Design Features : Versatile Rein Options : The Pelham design allows for multiple rein placements, offering the rider flexibility in how much leverage they want to apply based on their riding situation. Balanced Leverage : The shanks of the Pelham provide balanced leverage, giving riders the option to increase shape and head position of the horse when needed while maintaining a soft, comfortable feel. Encourages Responsiveness : Even with the added leverage, the Pelham design helps horses remain responsive and engaged, promoting better communication between horse and rider.
