Copper John (Bead Head)

Finatics Fly Company The Copper John takes the time-tested sink-fast punch of the original and adds an irresistible pop of color. This version uses red wire wrap and tail biots to add visibility in stained water, low light, or heavy trout traffic. Tied with a durable copper wire body, biot tail for lifelike movement, and a gold bead head for instant sink and strike-zone accuracy, this nymph is made to anchor your Euro rig or serve as the lead fly in any indicator setup. Why trout—and anglers—swear by it: Red/Copper wire and biot tail offer a contrast that fish can’t ignore Heavy copper wire sinks fast and stays stable in current seams Gold bead head adds weight and visibility in murky or slower water Tied on a strong barbed hook to maximize hookup rates Ideal for tailwaters, freestones, stocked streams, and winter runs
