Copper John BH (Copper)

The Copper John (Copper) is one of the most effective and widely trusted nymph patterns in fly fishing, built to get down quickly and stay in the strike zone where trout are actively feeding. Tied on a barbed hook and offered in multiple sizes. This pattern features a weighted wire body, bead head, and a clean, segmented profile that imitates a wide range of aquatic insects. The copper coloration provides a natural flash that helps fish locate the fly without overpowering the presentation, making it effective in both clear and slightly stained water. Designed to sink fast and fish efficiently, the Copper John is ideal for nymph rigs, indicator setups, and deeper runs where reaching feeding fish quickly is critical.
