Copper Bonding Split Nut, 5-Pack – Pool Bonding and Grounding Connector

Product Overview The Copper Bonding Split Nut 5-Pack provides a reliable method for joining compatible copper bonding conductors used around swimming pools, spas, fountains, and related electrical equipment. These split-bolt-style connectors are designed to create a secure mechanical connection between copper wires without requiring soldering, making them suitable for new installations, equipment replacements, and bonding-grid repairs. Pool bonding systems connect conductive components around the pool area to help reduce voltage differences between metal objects. Proper bonding may include pool pumps, heaters, ladders, handrails, light niches, reinforcing steel, water-bonding fittings, and other conductive equipment as required by applicable electrical codes. Each connector features durable copper construction for dependable electrical conductivity and resistance to corrosion in demanding outdoor environments. The split design allows the connector to open around the conductors, making installation easier when joining or tapping existing copper bonding wires. This package includes five copper bonding split nuts, making it convenient for pool contractors, electricians, service technicians, and builders working on installations that require multiple bonding connections. Key Features Includes five copper bonding split nuts Designed for compatible copper conductors Suitable for pool and spa bonding applications Durable copper construction Provides a strong mechanical wire connection No soldering required Split design simplifies conductor installation Suitable for joining or tapping bonding conductors Ideal for equipment-pad and bonding-grid work Useful for new construction and repair applications Compact design fits many electrical installations Professional-grade connector package Benefits A properly installed bonding connection helps maintain electrical continuity throughout the pool bonding grid. Loose, damaged, or corroded connections can reduce the effectiveness of the bonding system and may create unsafe voltage differences between conductive components. Copper split nuts provide a dependable connection when properly sized, tightened, and installed. Their reusable mechanical design can simplify service work compared with permanently crimped or soldered connections, depending on local code requirements and the specific application. The five-pack provides enough connectors for multiple equipment components or several repair locations, helping contractors avoid purchasing each connector separately. Installation Information Turn off electrical power before working near pool or spa equipment. Clean the copper conductors before installation and remove oxidation, dirt, coatings, or debris that could interfere with the connection. Loosen the split nut, position the compatible conductors inside the connector, and tighten it securely using the proper tools. Do not overtighten or deform the connector. Confirm that the conductors are fully captured and cannot move after tightening. Where required, protect the completed connection with an approved corrosion-resistant compound, enclosure, or covering rated for the installation environment. Installation should be completed or inspected by a licensed electrician or qualified pool professional familiar with swimming-pool bonding requirements. Confirm Before Ordering Please verify: The connector accepts your copper-wire size. You require a package of five connectors. The application permits split-bolt-style connectors. Your bonding conductor is copper. The installation location meets local code requirements. Any required corrosion protection will be used. These connectors are suitable for the specific pool or spa equipment being bonded. Warranty Information Warranty coverage applies to qualifying manufacturing defects and varies by supplier. Coverage does not include improper sizing, loose installation, overtightening, incompatible conductors, corrosion caused by improper protection, code violations, misuse, or normal wear. Electrical bonding components should be inspected periodically and replaced if they become damaged, heavily corroded, cracked, or unable to maintain a secure connection. Customer Q&A How many connectors are included? This package includes five copper bonding split nuts. Can these connect aluminum wire? Do not use them with aluminum conductors unless the connector is specifically marked and listed for aluminum. This listing is intended for compatible copper conductors. Are these used as electrical grounding connectors? They may be used for approved bonding or grounding applications when the connector size, listing, conductor type, and installation comply with applicable electrical codes. Should a professional install them? Yes. Pool bonding is an important electrical-safety system and should be installed or inspected by a licensed electrician or qualified professional.
