The Cool Ghoul was the horror movie host on Channel 19, debuting in 1969, less than a year after the station first went on the air. Portrayed by Dick Von Hoene, the character originated on the radio a few years earlier. A Cincinnati native, his signature "Bleah, bleah, BLEAAAHHH!" and "Bl-bl-bl-bl-bl-bl-bl-bl-bl-bl..." helped him become a local broadcasting icon.
