Control to Pass Gi Pressure Passing by Diego Pato

Pressure passing is the most reliable way to break a guard player in the gi, and few people have proven it at a higher level than Diego Pato. A five-time IBJJF World Champion, two-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion and Pan Champion, Diego Pato is one of the most decorated light featherweights the sport has ever produced In Control To Pass, Pato teaches the pressure passing system he built on the Grand Slam circuit, from the first approach and the fight for the hips all the way to the pass. This isn't a random collection of passes, it's the answer to the guards that actually show up in competition: De La Riva, reverse De La Riva, and anyone who frames to keep you at range. What Will You Learn? Pressure passing is the most reliable way to break a guard player in the gi, and few people have proven it at a higher level than Diego Pato. A five-time IBJJF World Champion, two-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion and Pan Champion, Diego Pato is one of the most decorated light featherweights the sport has ever produced. Now he is sharing the passing system he used to get there, the same one he says he has been building through his competition run on the Grand Slams. In Control To Pass, Pato breaks down how to approach the guard, crowd the hips, hold your base while your opponent frames, and create the reaction that gives you the pass. This isn't a random collection of passes, it's a step by step method for making your opponent carry your weight until the guard falls apart. The course is built around the guards you actually run into. Pato shows you how to escape De La Riva straight into a pressure pass, how to deal with reverse De La Riva by going to the knee cut, and how his crazy dog pass forces the reaction that opens everything else. Every position starts from the same idea: take the space away first, then pass. Unlike passes that only work on a tired or flat opponent, pressure travels. Once you understand how to crowd the hips and stay heavy while your opponent moves, the knee slice, the leg smash and the double armpit stop being separate techniques and start being different finishes to the same problem. If you have ever felt your passing work in the first round and disappear by the third, the answer is usually not a new technique. It is where your weight is before the technique even starts. Learn how one of the most decorated light featherweights in the world turns simple pressure into a complete gi passing system. What Exactly Do You Get?
