Contrast Series - Prepared Agar Plates

When Clarity is Everything, Choose Mush Ohio's Contrast Series. Designed for the mycologist who needs to see it all, the Contrast Series is your ultimate tool for selection and purification. We take our proven low-nutrient Foundation formula and infuse it with food-grade activated charcoal. The result is a deep, dark medium that makes brilliant white mycelium "pop" with stunning clarity. This high-contrast background makes it incredibly easy to spot contamination, identify subtle sectoring for isolation, and clean up new wild specimens. Includes WeMush Tracking: Every product ships with a unique QR code linked to your WeMush account. View specimen details, log observations, and track your cultivation journey — free with any Mush Ohio purchase. Key Features: Activated Charcoal Formula: The jet-black background provides unparalleled contrast for detailed observation and makes your mycelium the star of the show. Ideal for Purification: Especially useful for cleaning new tissue cultures or wild specimens where contaminants may be hiding. Low-Nutrient Base: Like our Foundation series, this formula encourages strong, rhizomorphic growth rather than weak, fluffy growth, making genetic selection easier. Photographer's Choice: Creates a professional, publication-ready look for all your photographic documentation. Best For: Visually isolating desirable mycelial sectors. Cleaning and transferring new tissue cultures or wild specimens. High-contrast photographic documentation. Our Guarantee: We stand behind our products.
