Constellation Revelation 2 Preamplifier

The Constellation Revelation 2 Preamplifier distills the engineering, circuitry, and musical refinement of Constellation's flagship preamplifiers into a more streamlined design for today's discerning music lover. Designed for systems that require fewer source components, the Revelation 2 preserves the uncompromising performance that defines the brand while introducing Constellation's advanced external Switch-Mode Power Supply (C-SMPS) for exceptionally clean, stable power delivery. At the heart of the Revelation 2 is Constellation's exclusive Line Stage Gain Module, delivering remarkable transparency, dimensionality, and musical realism that reveal every nuance of a recording. Signature Constellation Circuitry The Revelation 2 is built around Constellation's acclaimed Line Stage Gain Module, featuring a fully balanced, mirror-imaged circuit topology with hand-matched, ultra-low-noise transistors. A precision servo circuit continuously monitors channel balance and automatically corrects even the smallest inconsistencies, preserving signal integrity from input to output. When paired with a Constellation power amplifier, the Revelation 2 can connect directly to the amplifier's Constellation Direct XLR input, bypassing the amplifier's input stage entirely. The result is an even shorter, purer signal path with enhanced transparency and musical expression. Dedicated C-SMPS Power Supply The Revelation 2 incorporates Constellation's proprietary Switch-Mode Power Supply (C-SMPS), the result of years of engineering development focused on surpassing the limitations of conventional transformer-based power supplies. The advanced design delivers DC power that is more than 20 dB quieter while maintaining consistent performance regardless of fluctuations in incoming AC voltage. For maximum isolation, the power supply resides in its own precision-machined aluminum enclosure, shielding the sensitive analog circuitry from electrical interference and ensuring the quietest possible operating environment. True Dual-Mono Design Every Revelation 2 Preamplifier is constructed as a genuine dual-mono component, with perfectly mirrored left and right channel layouts. Each channel maintains completely independent signal paths, while the corresponding inputs and outputs remain physically separated across the rear panel. Unlike many dual-mono preamplifiers that combine signal paths at the input or output connections, the Revelation 2 preserves channel separation throughout the entire circuit, contributing to exceptional imaging, expansive soundstaging, and outstanding channel isolation. Elegant Simplicity The Revelation 2 combines sophisticated engineering with effortless operation. A digitally controlled resistor-ladder volume control provides exceptional channel matching and precision that conventional potentiometers simply cannot achieve, preserving the purity of the analog signal at every listening level. An intuitive LCD touchscreen provides access to volume and system controls, while a beautifully machined aluminum remote offers refined tactile operation worthy of the component itself. Reference Performance, Refined As modern high-end audio systems become increasingly streamlined, the Revelation 2 delivers the ideal balance of simplicity and uncompromising performance. Sharing the same core technologies, circuit philosophies, and meticulous craftsmanship found throughout Constellation's reference preamplifier lineup, it offers extraordinary musical realism in a more practical configuration. Paired with the Constellation Performance 2 or Revelation Series amplifiers, the Revelation 2 Preamplifier serves as the foundation of a truly reference-quality music system, combining breathtaking transparency, natural dynamics, and effortless musicality.
