Constellation Revelation 2 Phono Preamp

The Constellation Revelation 2 Phono Preamplifier brings reference-level analog playback to discerning vinyl enthusiasts. Combining a meticulously refined RIAA equalization circuit with a fully balanced output stage and an extensive range of cartridge loading adjustments, the Revelation 2 extracts every nuance from both moving-coil and moving-magnet cartridges. Complementing its sophisticated analog design is Constellation's proprietary external Switch-Mode Power Supply (C-SMPS), housed in a separate precision-machined chassis to deliver exceptionally clean, stable power while preserving the most delicate musical details. Precision RIAA Equalization At the core of the Revelation 2 is a highly refined RIAA equalization circuit whose design has been developed and perfected over decades. Renowned for its natural tonal balance, exceptional transparency, and effortless musicality, this proven topology forms the foundation of the preamplifier's extraordinary analog performance. The output stage draws directly from Constellation's acclaimed Line Stage Gain Module architecture, utilizing a fully balanced circuit with hand-matched, ultra-low-noise transistors selected for their exceptional precision and remarkably low noise floor. Dedicated C-SMPS Power Supply The Revelation 2 features Constellation's advanced external Switch-Mode Power Supply (C-SMPS), engineered to deliver power that is more than 20 dB quieter than conventional linear power supplies. The result is exceptionally stable DC voltage regardless of fluctuations in incoming AC power, allowing the preamplifier to recover the finest low-level information embedded within every recording. To maximize performance, the power supply is housed in its own machined aluminum enclosure, completely isolating it from the sensitive phono circuitry and eliminating the possibility of electrical interference. Exceptional Cartridge Compatibility The Revelation 2 is designed to accommodate virtually any high-performance phono cartridge with remarkable precision and flexibility. Moving-coil cartridge loading can be adjusted in ultra-fine 1-ohm increments from 5 to 1,000 ohms, allowing precise optimization for virtually any MC cartridge. Individual loading settings for each channel and each moving-coil input can be stored independently for instant recall. For moving-magnet cartridges, selectable load impedance settings of 10, 33, and 47 kΩ are complemented by capacitance options of 0, 100, and 200 pF, providing ideal matching for a wide variety of designs. Both balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs are provided for moving-coil and moving-magnet cartridges, offering exceptional installation flexibility. Precision Control Despite its sophisticated engineering, the Revelation 2 is intuitive to operate. An elegant LCD touchscreen provides access to all cartridge loading, gain, and equalization settings through a clean, user-friendly interface with dedicated control buttons and status indicators. Digital control allows for exceptionally precise adjustments that are repeatable and accurate, ensuring optimal cartridge performance without the limitations of conventional analog controls. Reference Analog Performance Designed for listeners who demand uncompromising vinyl playback, the Revelation 2 Phono Preamplifier combines Constellation's celebrated analog circuit design with modern precision and flexibility. Its ultra-low-noise architecture, extensive cartridge compatibility, and dedicated external C-SMPS power supply work together to reveal extraordinary detail, expansive soundstaging, and lifelike musical realism. Whether partnered with a single reference turntable or multiple analog sources, the Revelation 2 provides the refinement, versatility, and transparency expected from a world-class phono preamplifier.
