Conehead Bugger Black/Olive

The Conehead Woolly Bugger – Black/Olive is a heavy-hitting streamer pattern built for depth, movement, and maximum underwater attraction. Combining the subtle contrast of olive and black with the added flash and weight of a brass conehead, this fly is deadly on trout, bass, and other aggressive freshwater species. The black marabou tail flows naturally in the current, while the olive body and palmered hackle add bulk and motion, mimicking leeches, baitfish, or even large nymphs. The conehead design helps the fly plunge quickly into deeper water, making it a smart choice for fishing fast runs, deep pools, or stillwaters where fish hold near the bottom. Whether stripped, swung, or dead-drifted, this pattern excels when fish want a larger, more noticeable meal. It’s particularly effective in stained water or low-light conditions where color contrast and profile matter most.
