According to local lore, Hazen S. Pingree was so impressed by the efforts of the Detroit Fire Department that he adopted the "Fireman" campaign, which shows a fireman always ready to respond. Though the fire destroyed much of the factory, the Pingree and Smith company was able to recover and make shoes again. We pay homage to them while also lifting up and celebrating the service and sacrifice of all who serve by including a touch of red on this product.  FEATURED IN *The leather used on your wallet will have a texture and shade of color that may vary slightly from the leather pictured and may exhibit natural imperfections since your wallet is crafted with small batch leather reclaimed from the production of new cars.
