Comrex ACCESS 2USB Codec Audio Over IP Internet Transmission Endpoint w/ TS

Tested/Guaranteed • 2USB Model • Switchboard Traversal Server Option Enabled • Very Good Cosmetic Condition • Battery Included • Great for Remote Events/Studios • Low Delay OPUS/AAC/G.722/PCM/FLAC/MPEG Coding Photos show the actual item for sale A lightly used portable Access 2USB remote codec. It is in very good cosmetic condition - the photos show the actual item for sale. It has been tested to confirm correct operation. It has the AAC Codec set installed and has the optional Traversal Server license installed - a $100 upgrade. The unit has been updated with the latest firmware available for this unit at the time of listing and reset to factory default settings (logon is user:comrex, and the IP address is assigned by DHCP). The battery is accepting and holding a charge but its capacity and longevity are not guaranteed. It's a generic 'camcorder' type and replacements are readily available on-line from $20 if you want to stock some spares. Note that the internal web server (if you want to access the config screens remotely over the network) is based on Flash technology so you will probably need to use an older browser to access it as current versions do not support that code. All functions are accessible via the touch screen (stylus included) so there may be little need to access settings via HTTP. Full product details may be obtained from the User Manual at the link below. Comrex recommends using a wired network if possible, but the unit can be operated in wireless mode by simply plugging in a compatible USB WiFi adapter (such as a Edimax EW-7811UAC - which can be obtained for under $20). ACCESS is equipped with CrossLock. CrossLock creates a virtual private network (VPN) between ACCESS units. This VPN increases reliability and enables simultaneous use of multiple networks. With CrossLock, ACCESS can bond networks for more bandwidth, making it easier to conduct high fidelity broadcasts from even more places. ACCESS 2USB includes AAC modes as standard. For broadcasts that require the highest audio quality available, AAC delivers. AAC, AAC-LD (low delay), HE-AAC (high efficiency), HE-AACv2 and AAC-ELD (enhanced low delay) can accommodate nearly any bandwidth, latency or audio quality requirement. In particular, the AAC-ELD mode provides the perfect balance of low bit rate, low delay, and high quality audio to get the best out of remote broadcasts. With its Lithium Ion battery, integrated mixer, easy-to navigate touch screen and handheld form factor, ACCESS can go just about anywhere...and has! Wherever there is breaking news, a major sporting event or large outdoor festival, youre likely to see an ACCESS Portable. The ACCESS Portable is the go-to remote broadcast tool for broadcasters worldwide. Comrex Switchboard Traversal Server, managed by Comrex, provides a simple way for ACCESS codecs to see each other from behind Firewalls and private LANs.
