Complex Zonker

Some flies become popular. Others become part of Louisiana fly fishing. The Complex Zonker has earned that reputation. Hand tied by Conner Lewing of Delta Fly Works, a FINATICS Signature Tyer, this pattern is a proven Louisiana staple built specifically for shallow-water redfish. Its oversized rabbit strip produces unmatched movement with every strip and pause, while the layered flash and flowing profile imitate the mullet, mud minnows, and other baitfish redfish feed on throughout the marsh. Built on the premium Umpqua XS506H 1/0 Saltwater Jig Hook, the 60-degree jig design keeps the fly riding hook point up, allowing it to work cleanly through flooded grass, broken shell, oyster bottoms, and shallow marsh structure. The extra-strong hook is designed to withstand powerful inshore fish while delivering reliable hook penetration when it matters most. Whether you're sight casting to cruising fish, working shorelines, or blind casting ponds, the Complex Zonker has the movement, profile, and durability to consistently produce fish across Louisiana's coastal marshes. Every fly is hand tied by Conner Lewing of Delta Fly Works exclusively for FINATICS Fly Company using premium materials and the attention to detail that has made his patterns trusted by serious Gulf Coast anglers.
