Community Outing (CBI) Visual Reflection Worksheets + Digital Activity

This Community Outing resource is one you can use over and over again in your classroom for every CBI outing. The resource is structured to have students prepare for the community outing and then reflect on the events afterward. When students have questions about the community outing, this worksheet is a handy visual for them to refer to. Sometimes I have students complete the pre-community outing sheet a day ahead of time, create a copy to send home, and then students will bring the sheet on their trip. Ideas for use: Before and after a community outing, 1:1, small group, whole class, combination of independent reflection then partner and group share, send home with student for home communication, collect in student binder across the school year, continued reflection across the school year in discussion around different community outings Across ages and support needs: Our resources are made with images and icons that support learners across middle, high school, and into adult day programs. Students of any age can use this particular resource while still finding it age-respectful. Use with students across a wide variety of support needs. We’ve included visuals and multiple-choice options to increase student engagement and responses for those who need it, as well as, spaces for students who write more.
