Comisario Anejo Tequila

An Award-Winning Highland Elegance Elevate your premium tequila collection with Comisario Añejo. Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the prestigious Highlands (Los Altos) of Jalisco, Mexico, this ultra-premium tequila represents the pinnacle of modern craftsmanship. It has garnered massive critical acclaim, recently securing a 96-point rating and the #1 position among leading luxury tequilas from Enthusiast Report, alongside multiple Platinum and Double Gold medals. The 23-Month Barrel Program While many añejo tequilas only rest for the minimum 12 months, Comisario Añejo is aged for 23 months in American Oak whiskey barrels. This extended maturation period pushes it to the upper limits of the añejo category, extracting deep, refined oak characteristics while carefully preserving the sweet, fruit-forward terroir of the high-altitude agave. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), it offers an impeccably balanced, dessert-forward sipping experience. Tasting Notes Color: Deep, pale golden amber with radiant copper highlights and slow, elegant legs. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) How long is Comisario Añejo aged? This premium expression is aged for 23 months in American Oak whiskey barrels. This approaches the upper limit for the añejo category, giving it a much deeper, more mature, and rounded character than younger añejos. What makes Highland (Los Altos) agave different? Agave grown in the red volcanic soil of the Jalisco Highlands is cultivated at higher altitudes, which typically produces a naturally sweeter, fruitier, and more floral profile compared to the sharper, earthier agave grown in the lowland regions. How should I serve Comisario Añejo? Due to its exceptional smoothness, impeccable structure, and rich dessert-like qualities, it is highly recommended as a neat sipping tequila. Serve it in a tulip glass, or pour it over a single large ice cube to reveal deeper layers of warm spice and citrus. It also makes a phenomenal base for elevated cocktails, such as a Tequila Old Fashioned or an Añejo Manhattan.
