Columbus Folding Chair

Columbus Folding Chair Columbus chair is crafted from high-quality teak. The design is inspired by the classical garden chairs from the US but done in a simplistic, Nordic style where the steel fittings are kept visible to create a subtle contrast. The chair is adjustable, making it useful around the dining table as well as a sun chair.  Measurements W x D x H: 23.62 x 27.56 x 41.34 inches Seat H: 16.93 inches Weight: 30.86 lb Proper Usage and Maintenance Proper usage and maintenance is vital for getting the most out of the valuable resources we have. Our designs are made to last for generations, but just like everything else, they need a little care to get there. Teak Cleaning Do a general cleaning when needed with a suitable wood cleaner and soft bristle brush. Rinse afterwards with clear water and let it dry. Note: Wipe off tables, benches and chairs after dinner and such with a dry cloth. Maintenance As the wood is untreated, the surface will patinate over time and eventually turn into a beautiful silvery grey color. If you wish to preserve or intensify the original honey-golden color, use a suitable furniture oil on a regular basis. No matter what you choose, the wood will be resistant to everyday wind and weather thanks to the high content of natural oils. Winter storage During winter we advise you to store the furniture in an unheated room such as a garage or cellar. Indoor use The wood has been dried for outdoor use. Hence, if you wish to use the furniture indoors it may need to be re-tightened once in a while. Special Considerations "Gray Teak" is solid teak wood finished with a solution that expedites the aging process of teak to a natural silver tone. Over time, the natural weathering of Gray Teak will cause its appearance to change in color and texture, with possible marks and cracks. By ordering Gray Teak, you accept these characteristics and agree that no claim will be approved regarding the natural aging process of teak or the special color qualities associated with the Gray Teak finish. Special care should be taken to protect this natural finish.
