Colostrum (90 capsules)

Colostrum is a super-nutritional substance secreted by the mammary glands of nursing mammals. Colostrum is a safe and natural way to fortify body systems against disease and infection. Colostrum, a substance that occurs naturally in bovines, contains large protein molecules known as immunoglobulins, which help defend the body against viruses and bacteria. Colostrum also contains specific antibodies, broad-based immune enhancers, insulin-like growth factors and transforming growth factors, as well as leukocytes that inhibit virus penetration of cellular walls. Benefits • Accelerates healing. • Balances blood sugar. • Reduces insulin needs. • Increases the metabolism of fat. • Regulates neurotransmitters, providing alertness and better concentration. • Regenerates and accelerates the normal growth of aged or injured muscle, bone, cartilage, skin collagen and nervous tissue. How Does It Work? Bovine colostrum is known as a “universal donor.” Humans are able to use it because its immune factors, along with key immunoglobulins, are identical in molecular structure to those of humans. Nature's Sunshine Advantage Nature’s Sunshine Colostrum contains 13 major components that contribute to its remarkable properties. In general, immunoglobulins can be divided into five categories: gamma A, D, E, G and M. Bovine colostrum contains all five! This colostrum is taken from a bovine source in the United States. These cows are not given routine hormones or antibiotics. Scientific Support Oral ingestion of colostrum does not destroy its nutritional properties. In 1994, scientists discovered that bovine colostrum contains special trypsin and protease inhibitors that shut down the digestive enzymes and acids of the stomach. Rather than be digested in the stomach, colostrum’s proteins pass through the stomach to the small intestine, where they are easily absorbed. Ingredients Each capsule contains 350 mg Colostrum. Recommended Use Take 1 capsule with 8 oz. of water 30 minutes before meals and bedtime (four times daily).
