CCI's CMS (Color Matching System) is a 14 color water based color mixing system for brilliant and accurate color matches. When combined with the included Clear Waterbase Base, the result is bright, vivid colors with an amazingly soft feel. When printing on white 100% cotton fabrics the cost per print is less than that of plastisol. This is a PVC free pigment system designed for printing on 100% cotton fabrics. With this kit, you can start mixing extremely accurate pantone matches for your customers, while simultaneously offering them the super soft hand feel they desire. The kit includes 14 8oz. bottles of super concentrated mixing pigments, and a gallon of clear mixing base. Free CMS Software Usage: Use a PMS mixing color guide or the CCI Color management software to mix the pigments into a base. Mix 10% pigment to 90% base. If using the PMS color guide, move the decimal point in the guide one digit to the left, bringing it from 100 to 10. Then follow the formula in the guide and mix 10% pigment to 90% base. Curing Temperature: 320 Degrees (160 C) Fusion Time: Approximately 90 seconds depending on the base. Times may be longer depending on the curing rate of your dryer. Maximum Pigment load: Not to exceed 30% Finish Appearance: Matte Bleed Resistant: None Squeegee: 70 to 80 Durometer Squeegee Angle: 45 Degrees Print Stroke: Maximum speed, lighter pressure Emulsion: Use TX-Discharge or any water resistant emulsion Underlay: Discharge White or Discharge Base with 4 to 6% activator Mesh Count: 86 to 305 mesh Thinner: Water Clean Up: Use EnviroSolv or soap and water Color Range: Pigments and Fluorescents Substrate Type: 100% Cotton Substrate Color: Lights work best. Instructions The screen should have an ample amount of ink in the frame to flood the screen after each print. Always flood the screen to prevent drying in the screen. We recommend using Water Base and Discharge Retarder to slow down the air drying process of the ink. To test best fusion of the garment, wash test to see if you are getting a complete cure from your dryer. Always put a lid on your ink even when you are printing to keep the ink fresh and keep it from drying, especially on hot days. Curing Instructions Printed fabric should be cured for a minimum of 90 seconds at 360°F. Ideally, printed fabric should be cured for three minutes at 300-320°F. Airflow is crucial to remove steam outside of dryer chamber. If your conveyor dryer does not have forced air and proper ventilation, gates should be opened as high as possible to help allow steam from escaping, and ink to reach a full cure. Storage & Clean-Up Keep containers tightly sealed, and store in a cool, well-ventilated area. Ink should be removed from screen as soon as printing is completed. Water based inks can typically be easily cleaned with just water. If ink is allowed to dry on screen or other surface, you can use one of our water based ink cleaners. Downloads
