Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch Bottled in Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch is a Bottled in Bond Kentucky straight bourbon that pays direct tribute to one of the most important figures in American whiskey history. Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., often called the father of the modern bourbon industry, established the O.F.C. Distillery, known today as Buffalo Trace, after the Civil War, and pioneered techniques still in use such as copper fermenters, column stills, and climate controlled aging warehouses. Most famously, he fought for the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, the landmark consumer protection law guaranteeing that a whiskey is the product of one distiller in one distilling season, aged at least four years in a federally supervised bonded warehouse, and bottled at exactly 100 proof. This Small Batch expression honors that legacy in both substance and style, made from the low rye Buffalo Trace Mash Bill number one and aged in the century old brick warehouses Taylor himself built, prized for their exceptional aging conditions. Bottled in bond at 100 proof and presented in a signature label and protective canister that echoes Taylor's whiskey packaging from over a century ago, it is widely regarded as a true sipping bourbon that punches well above its accessible price. The extra proof over standard Buffalo Trace bourbon lets its flavors shine, opening with a sweet nose of caramel corn, butterscotch, and oak, leading to a balanced palate of dried fruit, light licorice, and soft baking spice, and finishing long and warm with pepper, tobacco, and a gentle dryness. As one of Buffalo Trace's celebrated allocated bottles, it has become a genuine shelf trophy and an essential pour for bourbon enthusiasts. ABV / Proof Brand Colonel E.H.
