Collar 2-Seater Sofa

The Woud Collar 2-seater takes the concept of a hug and translates it into furniture form - those voluminous curves and deliberately askew back cushions create this enveloping feeling that's hard to find in most contemporary seating. Designer Meike Harde was clearly thinking about how people actually want to sit and relax rather than just how sofas should look, and the result is something that manages to feel both sculptural and genuinely comfortable. The delta-shaped armrests provide this wide-angle support that works whether you're sitting normally or curling up sideways, while that continuous back cushion creates the "collar" effect that gives the piece its name. Available in Harald 823 from Kvadrat along with other premium fabrics, the mint colorway brings this fresh, contemporary energy that works particularly well in smaller spaces. The memory foam construction delivers that soft, deep feeling Harde was going for - you really do sink into it in the best possible way, and the low backrest means you can use it for lounging without feeling trapped in an overly formal seating position. The FSC-certified construction and European manufacturing show in the build quality, from the solid plywood frame to those slender black metal legs that keep the visual weight down despite the substantial cushioning. At 210cm long, it fits two people comfortably without dominating smaller living rooms, and being part of the modular Collar system means you can expand it later if your space or needs change. The fabric options range from understated neutrals to bolder colors, so you can either blend it into existing decor or make it a statement piece. Woud continues this approach where German precision meets Danish design sensibilities, and their collaboration with Meike Harde reflects this commitment to creating furniture that actually improves how people live rather than just looking impressive in showrooms. The brand emerged from Mia and Torben Koed's three decades in furniture manufacturing, and their focus on honest materials and functional beauty means investing in pieces that adapt to changing lifestyles rather than demanding everything else accommodate them. Their emphasis on modular systems and quality construction ensures their furniture grows with people rather than becoming obsolete when circumstances change.   Details Made In: Estonia Materials: Plywood, Foam, Webbing Connector: Metal Sectional Snaps Legs: Black Painted Wood Fabric: Gabriel Step Melange: 100% Trevira CS Kvadrat Remix 3: 90% New Wool (worsted) 10% Nylon Kvadrat Steelcut Trio 3: 90% New Wool (worsted), 10% Nylon Kvadrat Harald 3: 100% Cotton Dimensions: 82.9"L x 43.3"D x 29.1"H Seat Height: 15.7"
