Cold War Map; Space Race

Handpainted and researched map of the Cold War geopolitical alliances. NATO, the Warsaw Pact, and other alliances of the bipolar world as they were in 1959 are represented, although the map depicts the era more broadly. The northern hemisphere is depicted, divided politically between the Soviet bear and the American eagle, and also geographically. The space race between the cosmonauts and the astronauts is at the forefront of this painting. High quality giclee print available at various sizes. Actual print is clearer than what is depicted.  Unfortunately, I do not typically sell my prints with the frames but if that is something you are interested in, please contact me directly. Additionally, if you are interested in the original rather than a print, please contact me directly.
