(*organic ingredient) Directions: Apply frequently at the very first signs of a cold sore, and every day until healed.  Olive oil can help to hydrate and nourish dry, cracked, or chapped lips. Olive oil contains fatty acids that can penetrate the skin and help to lock in moisture. Lemon balm (Melissa Officinalis) is a powerful antiviral, proven to banish cold sores.  Beeswax can alleviate the pain, reduce inflammation, help the skin lock in moisture and make the skin feel less irritated. Shea butter and cocoa butter are both extremely moisturizing and may help to reduce the healing time of cold sores. Vitamin E oil applied topically to a cold sore appears to accelerate healing. Tea tree essential oil is antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. There is research that shows peppermint oil can inhibit the activity of both the herpes virus type 1 and type 2 .5 oz tin
