Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime 750ML is a ready-to-drink premixed spritz from France, bottled at 10.5% ABV (21 proof) in a 750ml format. Built on Cointreau's signature triple sec orange liqueur base, this expression adds lemon and lime citrus for a lighter, effervescent take on the classic spritz serve. Quick Facts: ABV: 10.5%  |  Origin: France  |  Style: Premixed Spritz Cocktail  |  Brand: Cointreau (Rémy Cointreau) Production & Heritage Cointreau traces its origins to 1849, when brothers Adolphe and Edouard-Jean Cointreau founded their distillery in Angers, in the Loire Valley of France. The original Cointreau liqueur is a triple sec produced by copper pot still distillation of sweet and bitter orange peels, resulting in a crystalline, intensely aromatic spirit. The Spritz Lemon Lime expression uses this orange liqueur as its foundation, blending it with natural lemon and lime flavors and sparkling elements to create a premixed cocktail designed for immediate serving. The brand is now owned by Rémy Cointreau, the publicly traded French spirits group headquartered in Paris. Tasting Notes Aroma: Bright lemon zest and lime peel lead, followed by Cointreau's characteristic sweet orange blossom and candied citrus undertones. A light, refreshing quality carries through the nose. Taste: The entry is crisp with tart lemon and lime, balanced by the rounded sweetness of the orange liqueur base. Mid-palate, the familiar Cointreau warmth emerges — bittersweet orange peel and a subtle botanical depth. The carbonation keeps the texture lively and prevents the sweetness from becoming heavy. Finish: Short to medium, clean and citrus-driven with a lingering note of candied orange rind. The finish dries slightly, encouraging another sip. How to Drink Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime This premixed cocktail is designed to be poured directly over ice in a wine glass or spritz glass — no mixing required. Garnish with a wheel of lemon, lime, or fresh orange to complement the citrus profile. While it stands on its own as a complete serve, it can also be used as a component in longer drinks: top with additional prosecco for a more festive, wine-forward spritz; add a splash of soda water and fresh mint for a lighter, highball-style refresher; or pour over crushed ice with a few dashes of Angostura bitters for added complexity. Best For Hosting a brunch or garden party where convenience and consistency matter A low-ABV alternative for guests who prefer lighter drinks at dinner gatherings Casual warm-weather sipping on a patio or poolside Introducing someone to the spritz category without the need for multiple bottles and mixers Frequently Asked Questions What does Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime taste like? It delivers a bright, citrus-forward profile led by lemon and lime tartness, underpinned by Cointreau's distinctive sweet-and-bitter orange liqueur character. The overall impression is refreshing, lightly sweet, and effervescent. How does Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime compare to Aperol Spritz? Aperol Spritz leans on bitter orange and gentian root for a more herbaceous, bittersweet profile, while Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime is brighter and more overtly citrus-driven, built on a triple sec base rather than a bitter aperitivo. Cointreau Spritz is also a complete premixed cocktail, whereas a traditional Aperol Spritz requires separate prosecco and soda water. Is Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime good for beginners? Yes — at 10.5% ABV with a familiar, approachable citrus flavor profile, it works well for those new to cocktails or anyone who prefers lighter drinks. The premixed format removes any guesswork in proportions. Where is Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime made? It is produced in France by Cointreau, whose historic distillery is located in Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou, near Angers in the Loire Valley. The brand has been producing orange liqueurs in this region since 1849. What foods pair well with Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime? Fresh oysters or ceviche complement its citrus acidity. Light salads with goat cheese and vinaigrette mirror the bright, tart profile. Sushi and sashimi work well alongside its clean, refreshing character. Fruit tarts or lemon-based desserts echo the citrus notes without clashing. What sizes does Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime come in? The standard available format is a 750ml bottle. Is Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime worth the price? It positions as a convenient, mid-range premixed cocktail backed by a well-established heritage brand. The value proposition lies in its quality base spirit — genuine Cointreau triple sec — rather than a generic neutral spirit, which distinguishes it from many ready-to-drink competitors in the category. Why Cointreau Spritz Lemon Lime? What separates this from the crowded ready-to-drink market is the provenance of its base: Cointreau's copper pot-distilled orange liqueur, a component in some of the most iconic cocktails in history, from the Margarita to the Sidecar. The lemon-lime addition steers the profile toward a lighter, more contemporary spritz style without abandoning the depth that Cointreau brings. At 10.5% ABV, it sits in a practical sweet spot — flavorful enough to hold interest, moderate enough for extended social occasions. For anyone who values the convenience of a premixed format but refuses to compromise on the quality of the spirit inside, this expression delivers a credible, well-balanced pour.
